Itinerary
LANGUAGE IMMERSION ı DIVERSITY ı SERVICE LEARNING
Days 1-2
• Arrive at Sevilla airport and meet your Tour Director and Team Leader • Board bus and travel to Sevilla’s city center • Meet host families. During the homestay program, breakfast and dinner will be with the host family. Box lunch will be prepared by family daily. Day 5
• Meet your Tour Director and Team Leader • Spend a day visiting and attending classes at a local school. You will meet with your Spanish buddy, accompanying them in their classes. • Visit Pintor Amalio art gallery and explore the gypsy culture and traditions through the artist's work. • Private Flamenco performance at the gallery. • Return to host families |
Day 3
• Meet your Tour Director and Team Leader • Have a sightseeing tour that includes Sevilla’s cathedral, the Alcazar (Europe’s oldest active royal palace), and Santa Cruz historic Jewish quarter. • Flamenco dance Masterclass at local professional studio • Return to host families Day 6
• Meet your Tour Director and Team Leader • Board your bus and travel to Palos de la Frontera (Huelva). • Visit Monasterio de Santa María de La Rábida where Christopher Columbus visited in 1490 to plan his discoveries. • Visit Muelle de las Carabelas, the very place from where Columbus sailed out in 1492 to discover America. See (and get on board) the replicas of the Niña, Pinta, and Santa María, the ships Columbus commanded on this 1st trip • Spend the evening at the Beach in Hueva. • Return to host families |
Day 4
• Meet your Tour Director and Team Leader • Day trip to Aracena mountains to visit an organic farm • Learn about sustainable farming though hands-on workshops and farm-to-table culinary activities. • Visit the free-roaming pigs and learn how Jamón and other charcuteries are made. • Return to host families Day 7
• Meet your Tour Director and Team Leader • Board your bus and travel to Granada. • On your way to Granada, we will a stop in Guadix to visit an occupational center for marginalized groups. • Continue to Granada. • Walking tour in Granada. • Check in at local hostel/hotel |
Day 8
• Meet your Tour Director and Team Leader • Today the students will visit the crown jewel of this city, the Alhambra, a 13th-century Moorish fortress comprised of patios, gardens, palaces and fountains. • After the Alhambra, the group will have time to shop around the arabic market El Zoco, or enjoy a taste of Morocco in one of Granada's many North African teterías (tea houses) located in the whitewashed neighborhood of the Albaicín. • Return to accommodations |

• Transfer to Granada airport • Board your flight back home |
