In the heart of majestic Sevilla, our Teacher Seminars meet the needs of the educator seeking to develop their teaching skills and expand their understanding of the Spanish language and culture. We provide academic, personal and extracurricular experiences designed to be authentic, enriching and meaningful... and most importantly, to inspire and to ignite a passion for Spain to carry back to the classroom. Dates: Monday, July 8 - Sunday, July 14, 2019 (SPOTS AVAILABLE)
PROGRAM COMPONENTS:
1. WORLD LANGUAGE WORKSHOPS SERIES (One 60-minute session daily, Monday to Friday)
Participants will assist to one presentation daily, Monday to Friday, on the following topics:
2. ADVANCED SPANISH CLASSES (Three hours daily, Monday to Friday)
Centro Universitario EUSA is Accredited by Instituto Cervantes
3. SPANISH HISTORY AND CULTURE (one cultural activity daily, Monday-Friday, and a day trip on Sunday)
Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with Spanish culture through the following activities and excursions:
TOTAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT HOURS: 30*. CENTRO UNIVERSITARIO EUSA WILL ISSUE TRANSCRIPTS FOR WORKSHOPS AND SPANISH CLASSES (20 HOURS). SPAIN PREP'S CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION WILL INCLUDE THE 10 HOURS COMPLETED WITH THE CULTURAL ACTIVITIES (10 ADDITIONAL HOURS).
*Spain Prep does NOT guarantee that you will receive professional development credit for it through your institution or state.

- Blended Learning Models: Using Technology in the World Language Classroom
- Google Apps for Education with a focus on Google Classroom
- Second Language Acquisition Theories with a focus on Krashen's The Natural Approach
- Introduction to TPRS, Teaching Proficiency through Reading & Storytelling and Comprehensible Input
2. ADVANCED SPANISH CLASSES (Three hours daily, Monday to Friday)
Centro Universitario EUSA is Accredited by Instituto Cervantes
- Classes especially tailored for non-native Spanish teachers
- Curriculum is flexible and adapts to the teacher's needs and requests
- Excellent opportunity to further develop or polish up your language skills
3. SPANISH HISTORY AND CULTURE (one cultural activity daily, Monday-Friday, and a day trip on Sunday)
Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with Spanish culture through the following activities and excursions:
- Live music performance
- Guided Historical Tour in Sevilla
- Guided tour of local Art Gallery
- Day trip to Ronda and Zahara de la Sierra
- Spanish Culinary Traditions:
- Guided tapas tasting trail
- Winery tour with tasting
- Visit 18th centrury olive oil mill
- Open day for personal exploration of Sevilla's mouments and museums (admission tickets covered up to 10 €)

- Regular registration : $850
- Scholarships and Payment plans available

Attendance to workshops, seminars, classes, activities and excursions described in the program; certification of participation by Spain Prep and Centro Universitario EUSA, Sevilla, Spain.

Airfare; meals, unless stated on itinerary; accommodation in Sevilla; transportation to/from your home city; stationery; travel insurance.

Scholarships/Referral Program:
- Refer a friend or colleague and each receive a $100 scholarship. Both participants need to attend this program to earn this scholarship.
Accommodation options
Spain PREP can arrange your stay with a host family in Sevilla with full board. If you prefer, you can find your own accommodation in Sevilla.
All fees are refundable if you cancel by May 8, 2019. Availability is limited and will be granted on a first come, first served basis. At least 4 participants are required for the seminar to run.
- Accommodation with host family in Sevilla with breakfast, lunch and dinner included: $50 / day. Minimum stay with host family is 5 consecutive nigths.
